Here are some indefinites that is used commonly with the Hopi Language...and notice the plural version of each singular. I have found that most Hopisinom who have been off Hopi, tend to keep things all singular. As like English, we have singular and plurals....the rule is this:
1. If there is a singular subject, there must be a singular verb.
2. If there are plural objects, there must be a plural verb.

example:
Nu' warikiwta. I am running.
Itam yuutukiwta. We are running.

In this case, running is both singular and plural, however from our teaching the subject informs us which is singular or plural.

If you can send me your e-mail, I can send you some basic grammar information that I use with my Jr. High students.

HOPI INDEFINITES

Indefinites in Hopi correspond to English question words like who, what, where, etc. , in the context of questions and the like; elsewhere they correspond to English indefinite forms like one/someone/anyone, something/anything, etc. Note that Hopi indefinites begin with h-.

hak-- who, one, someone, anyone (pl.—hakim)

hakiy—who, one, someone, anyone
(pl.—hakimuy) object form of hak.

himu--- what, who, something, anything, someone (pl.—hìitu)

hìita--- what, who, something, anything, someone (pl.—hìituy) object form of himu.

hin--- how, somehow, anyhow

haqam--- where, somewhere, anywhere

hisat--- when, ever, long ago, some time ago
